Rachael Newton, Founder of Brave PR
Founder

Rachael Newton

Brave ideas. Smart strategy. Stories that drive brand fame.

An award-winning PR and marketing director with 23 years of experience, Rachael is a creative force of nature - equal parts strategist, storyteller and ideas machine. She has spent her career helping brands and businesses find fame, create conversations and inject themselves into relevant culture.

Before founding Brave, Rachael spent seven years at global drinks giant Diageo, leading corporate communications and brand PR for some of the world's most iconic brands - including Guinness, Baileys, Johnnie Walker, Talisker and Red Stripe. Whether running celebrity media junkets in Dublin for Guinness's Arthur's Day, managing global media interviews in West Timor for the Talisker Bounty Boat expedition, showcasing Latin American whisky culture in Colombia, or managing distillery launches - Rachael has done it all. She previously cut her teeth at top London agency Band & Brown Communications, working with Sony, The Royal Navy, The Home Office and The Electoral Commission.

A total foodie and self-confessed drinks obsessive, Rachael is at her happiest discovering the next big thing in food and drink, championing founder-led brands and helping brilliant businesses tell their stories in fresh, unexpected ways. She's also passionate about supporting female founders and female-led businesses - because she firmly believes that when women champion each other, amazing things happen.

Over the past two decades, Rachael has built a network of journalists, editors, broadcasters, creators and opinion formers across food and drink, lifestyle, travel, health, wellness, interiors and business. The work she has created and led has won multiple national PR and marketing awards - but the thing she's proudest of is creating work that has real social impact and grows businesses.
